Program Rules:

1. Eligibility:

• Applications for the program are open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and hold active licensure or certification as a massage therapist in the United States.

• Employees of Contatto Wellness Education Center and/or Uvita Retreat Center, their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children), and household members are not eligible to enter.

• The program is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

2. Sponsor:

The program is sponsored by Contatto Wellness Education Center, located in Uvita, Costa Rica.

3. Agreement to Rules:

By participating, the applying therapists (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Contatto Wellness Education Center as final and binding as it relates to the content of this program.

4. Contest Period:

Entries will be accepted online starting on Sept. 1, 2025 and ending October 31, 2025. All online entries must be received by 11:59 PM on November 31, 2025 EST. Selected Applicants will be notified by November 15, 2025.

5. How to Enter:

• Applicants must enter by submitting the $100 entry fee and filling out the attached application form at this link. The entry must fulfill all program requirements, as specified, to be eligible to be selected for the Residency. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Contatto Wellness Education Center.

• You must provide the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules.

6. Application Fee:

• Your non-refundable application fee of $100 is required for entry. If you are not selected, this fee can be used as credit towards any event hosted by Contatto Wellness in Costa Rica for 24 months following the final date applications are accepted.

7. Prizes:

• The applicants selected for the Residency (the “Resident(s)”) will receive a 7-day, 6-night stay at Contatto Wellness Education Center’s Uvita Retreat Center, use of all facilities on the property, a bicycle for use during the stay, and two yoga classes. Approximate retail value: $3000.

• Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the residency shall be solely determined by Contatto Wellness Education Center.

• The residency is non-transferable. Any and all residency-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the Resident. No substitution of Residency or transfer/assignment of Residency to others or request for the cash equivalent by Resident is permitted.

• Acceptance of the Residency constitutes permission for Contatto Wellness Education Center and Uvita Retreat Center to use the Resident’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

8. Resident Selection and Notification:

• The Resident(s) will be selected by a panel of judges under the supervision of Contatto Wellness Education Center.

• The Resident(s) will be notified by email no later than November 15, 2025. Residents must respond to the award notification email in order to claim the award.

• If Resident cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the award within 14 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, the award may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected.

9. Terms & Conditions:

Contatto Wellness Education Center reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the program should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Contatto Wellness’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Contest.

10. Limitation of Liability:

By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless Contatto Wellness Education Center and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from (i) such entrant’s participation in the program and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any award or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries.

11. Disputes:

THIS PROGRAM IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF COSTA RICA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Contest, participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Costa Rica having jurisdiction.

12. Privacy Policy:

By applying to this, You acknowledge that You have read these rules and agree to abide by them.

CWEC is NOT responsible for and will not return any application fees, contributions, monies spent, monies owed or any funding if there is a natural occurrence, or any thing that interrupts, changes, delays or cancels the program in any way. CWEC cannot guarantee or be held responsible for residency interruptions, nonacceptance of residency program, awardee non-participation, non-response, or cancellations or delays because of Government decisions or natural causes, unforeseen circumstances. If the residency program is terminated or interrupted, the person(s) in residence may be directed to relocate from the venue or hazardous area. The remainder of residency term may be negotiated to be made up at a later date at the discretion of the CWEC.

PLEASE NOTE: Only selected therapists will be contacted. It is the therapists' own initiative to check the status of their proposal submission. At request, through the website, we will allow edits and additions up to ten days before the deadline. If you are contacted as a Resident, Finalist or Alternate & if our panelists feel that further detail is needed for the application — applicants will be asked to submit the required materials (such as a detailed proposal, etc) IN A PROMPT MANNER.
